Dear Geoff:

As construction nears completion on the Family Life Center for the Cathedral of St. Paul in downtown Birmingham, I want to extend my appreciation to you and your company for the excellent work we have seen on this project. The renovated building, bell tower and balcony addition, and the new exterior church courtyard are becoming well-crafted spaces on this historic church campus.

There have been many challenges including working on an extremely tight site in a congested area of the city, dealing with unforeseen conditions such as the complete reworking of the sewer system to the campus, and bringing the existing 1920's building up to current building code standards. Each of these challenges has been addressed and solved in a professional manner thanks to your team including Ryan Ferris as project manager, and Jeff Higginbotham as superintendent. Additionally, I commend the entire construction team for attention to safety and day-to-day schedule throughout construction including regular masses on weekends in the Cathedral, normal business hours for the church offices, and permanent residence for the rector and other priest living on campus in the rectory.

This project has been a significant one for our firm and I thank you and your company for attention to detail in making the vision a reality. I look forward to working with Golden Construction in the future.
