Dear Geoff,

I am delighted to write this letter of reccomendation for Golden & Associates Construction in connection with the work currently under way at BioCryst.

As you know, this job is an extremely complex renovation of a portion of our existing building. This Phase I construction of an overall master plan includes new chemistry laboratory construction, construction of a small manufacturing facility within existing warehouse space, and renovation of new and existing office areas, all complicated by the fact that major electrical and mechanical upgrades to the building have also been neccessary. Because the building is currently occupied and because so much of our equipment and experiments run 24 hours per day, the integration of all this construction with our day-to-day operations has been a monumental task.

Jim Dick has been outstanding in coordinating the diverse schedules and in supevising the first-class work being done by multiple subcontractors. Interruptions to our operations have been minimal because of the entire crew's willingness to work after hours and on weekends to minimize the neccessary down time to the building systems.

Everyone at Golden has been extremely helpful and conscientious throughout the planning, pricing and construction process, and we look forward to working with you as we phase in our future construction. If I can provide any aditional information, please let me know.
