Award winning Golden & Associates Construction breaks ground on Hoover School System's Spain Park athletic project

Birmingham, Ala., March 29, 2005 - Golden & Associates Construction, LLC, one of the area’s fastest growing general contractors will break ground Wednesday, March 30, 2005, on Hoover’s Spain Park High School additions to the athletic facilities.  The project will include a 14,403 square feet new building that will serve as a multipurpose facility, a 12,877 square feet building addition and a 2,604 square feet storage room.  The multipurpose facility will be used by several of the Spain Park athletic teams, and the building addition will house a new weight room, locker rooms and coaches’ offices.  The completion date for the multipurpose room is set for August 2005.  The entire project is scheduled to complete within 14 months.  Golden & Associates’ Ryan Ferris and Mike Smith will manage the project and Marty Wagnon and Jesse Smith will be the superintendents.  Golden & Associates Construction also built Hoover’s Berry Middle School athletic addition last year.

Golden & Associates President Geoff Golden stated, “We are pleased to continue our relationship with the Hoover City School System…we know how important costs are to the school system and we are working hard to keep the costs as low as possible while providing quality work.” 

Golden & Associates Construction was also recently awarded the bronze safety award at the 2005 Safe Day Awards and Luncheon hosted by the Associated Builders and Contractors organization on March 16, 2005.  This award signifies Golden & Associates Construction’s commitment to putting safety first on their jobsites.
