FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Birmingham, Ala., December 19, 2005 - Golden & Associates Construction, LLC is putting the final details on Spain Park High School’s athletic facilities additions and renovation. The $4.2 million project includes a new 14,400 square feet Multipurpose Building, a 12,800 square feet building addition to the school and a 2,600 square feet storage room. The Multipurpose Building will be utilized by several of the Jaguar athletic teams and will house separate locker rooms for track, softball, and baseball, and will also include coaches’ offices and indoor batting facilities. The new addition to the existing school will house a new weight room, girls’ basketball, volleyball, and soccer locker rooms and additional coaches’ offices. The new storage room is located under the football stadium.
The Multipurpose Building was completed in September, and the entire project is scheduled to be complete this week. Golden & Associates Construction will finish the project in 268 days, which is almost half of contracted 420 days for completion. Golden & Associates’ Ryan Ferris is the project manager and Marty Wagnon is the superintendent. Adams Design Associates is the architect firm for the project.
Ferris states, “This was a very challenging project for Golden & Associates due to the time constraints on the Multipurpose Building and some unforeseen existing conditions during excavation. The collaborative effort of Golden & Associates, our subcontractors and Adams Design helped overcome these challenges and complete a successful project for the City of Hoover.”
Pictures are available upon request.
Golden & Associates Construction also built Hoover’s Berry Middle School athletic addition last year.
