Golden & Associates Construction wrapping up inside One Federal Place on Constangy Brooks & Smith law offices

Birmingham, Ala., Nov. 21, 2005 – Golden & Associates Construction, LLC is in the final stages of construction on the new offices for Constangy Brooks & Smith, LLC law firm. The 9,000 square feet, leased space on the ninth floor of the One Federal Place building began as an open space and is being transformed into thirteen attorney offices, two conference rooms and offices for administrative staff. The space features a custom reception desk and ornate mahogany wood panels in the lobby and conference areas.

The twelve week project is set to be complete in the first part of December. However, Constangy Brooks & Smith moved into the new space during the eighth week of the project schedule due to lease issues with their former office building.

Marcial Mendez is the project manager and James Burnette is the superintendent. The design firm for the project is Ray Harsh Design. Mendez adds, “Thanks to a great collaborative effort from subcontractors, the owner and architect, this project could not have gone any smoother.  Despite some initial problems getting started, we will be able to complete it ahead of schedule and under budget.”
