Golden & Associates Construction to build Mountain Brook Elementary School addition; receives two safety awards

Birmingham, Ala., May 23, 2006 - Last week, Golden & Associates Construction, LLC was awarded the $2.7 million job for Mountain Brook Elementary School’s three story classroom addition.  The 15,000 square feet project will include the addition of six classrooms, one of which will be used for their after-school enrichment program. Ceiling and lighting renovations will also be made to the school’s auditorium as well as upgrades to the school’s existing electrical switch board. Golden & Associates plans to mobilize this Thursday. The project is scheduled to be complete in early 2007. Golden & Associates’ Marcial Mendez will manage the project.  The architect for the project is Rick Sprague with Henry Sprott Long & Associates.

Other work Golden & Associates Construction has completed for Mountain Brook Board of Education includes Brookwood Forest Elementary School’s media center and multi-purpose room.
