Vestridge Commons Shopping Center

This retail center was constructed on a design build basis accommodating up to 15 individual tenants. The owner of the shopping center worked in association with Fairway Investments, Goodwyn Mills & Cawood, Tucker Jones Structural Engineers, and Golden & Associates Construction. The 30,000 sq. ft. retail center was carved into a rocky landscape aside highway 31 in Vestavia Hills Alabama.

The construction provided an interior "vanilla shell" composing of restroom facilities, acoustical ceilings, typical 2x4 lay-in fixtures, and a sealed concrete floor ready for any potential tenant to begin their buildout. Emphasized along the main entrance of the building are three forest green standing seam metal roof sections, clear anodized tall storefronts, brick archways, and a covered walkway extending across the entire entrance. The structure displays an EIFS parapet wall topping out a solid two-tone brick facade. Picketed handrails matching the color of the metal roof sections accent the front of the building.

The duration of this project was seven months.
