Alabaster Skate Park

The City of Alabaster and Shelby County Commission partnered to fund this new park addition to give the community a place where people can go to skate and perform tricks in a safe environment.

Located in Alabaster’s Veterans Park, the one acre recreational facility features an in-ground skate bowl shaped similar to a skull. This unique shape gives skaters a variety of hills and valleys to skate. This is the first in-ground bowl skate park in the Birmingham area. The lower portion of the park is a “street area” that has ledges, rails and stairs for the skaters to jump and perform stunts and tricks.

Over 250 cubic yards of concrete were poured to complete the project.
