Infinity Insurance River Run

Infinity Insurance is expanding their operations to move their call center from their current headquarters located in the Colonnade Office Park to a 130,000 sq. ft., two-story building in River Run Village near Liberty Park. The $3.5 million renovation included demolishing the interior offices and transforming the space into large open work areas for cubicles that Infinity will use for their call center staff.

The construction schedule required the work be performed on a fast-track basis. The renovation building permit was issued on May 8, 2007 for a contract completion date of September 5, 2007. The interior work was certified as substantially complete on July 23rd - six weeks ahead of schedule. This early completion allowed Infinity Insurance to move in and begin operating without delay.

To accommodate parking for the 600 future employees, Golden & Associates Construction negotiated a $3 million contract with Infinity to design-build a two level parking deck next to the building. The 73,000 sq. ft. parking deck has a cast-in-place concrete frame with safety barrier cables and brick veneer. The volume of concrete for the project required multiple pours in the early morning hours to ensure the concrete would be finished properly.

The schedule for the parking deck went from design to completion in six months. All milestone dates were met during the design and construction of the parking deck.
