Projects

Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce

This renovation project combined three tenants into one project totaling over 20,000 sq. ft. This site is on the 1st, mezzanine, and 2nd floors of the Financial Center in downtown Birmingham. Golden & Associates was required to combine three tenants' renovation projects into one project with a total construction schedule of 12 weeks. Due to the sensitivity of the project schedule, Golden & Associates conducted weekly owner, architect, and contractor meetings vital to accommodating the tenants' demanding schedule. The project began with demolition of the entire 20,000 sq. ft. from deck to deck. This project included adding a new duvinage spiral staircase that connects the 1st, mezzanine, and 2nd floors. This project added several new conference and boardrooms with high-end millwork and detailed gypsum board ceilings. One boardroom included an exposed radiused steel frame system with backset-frosted glass. The project look was finished with a specialty lighting package that included new wall washers, sconce lights, and pendant fixtures throughout the floors. This is the new home of the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, Birmingham Magazine, and Operation New Birmingham. Golden & Associates accepted and completed the challenge of completing this project with an aggressive schedule and budget with out compromising the aesthetic appeal of the architectural design.
