Infinity Insurance Company Warehouse

With growing demands from their automobile insurance business, Infinity Insurance Company needed additional warehouse space to store critical insurance documents. Infinity contracted Golden & Associates to begin construction of this facility in October 2004 to be completed by May 2005. This warehouse was constructed using 30 ft. tall tilt-up concrete panels. The 85,000 sq. ft. facility includes 51,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, 27,500 sq. ft. of temperature controlled printing space and 6,500 sq. ft. of office space. The loading area is equipped with six shipping and receiving docks.

Extensive rain during the winter months created a challenge for the project schedule. Golden & Associates worked closely with the architect and subcontractors to overcome 20 days of rain delays to keep the project on schedule.

During construction, Infinity made the decision to relocate their main office in Birmingham in April 2005. In order to make only one move, Infinity needed their warehouse to be complete by the time of their office move. Golden & Associates worked with Infinity to accommodate their request, made some adjustments to the schedule, accelerated certain portions of the work and completed the warehouse in time for Infinity to move their storage materials, equipment and racks into the warehouse at the beginning of April.
