Corporate Realty wins preservation award

Corporate Realty Development LLC has won a preservation award from the Birmingham Historical Society for its recent renovation of the Magic City Casket Co. Inc. building and the Newspaper Union building, both located in the 22nd block of First Avenue South.

The Magic City Casket building now serves as headquarters for Corporate Realty, general contractor Golden & Associates Construction LLC and other businesses. Giattina Fisher Aycock Architects Inc. handled design on both buildings.

Corporate Realty received the accolade during the historical society's annual Preservation Awards ceremony May 8 at the offices of Williams Blackstock Architects PC.
