Our experience is honed from building projects with demands that vary from the schedule to the budget to the type of construction, as well as projects whose demands include all of these challenges.
Management

Geoffrey S. Golden, President
Geoff became interested in construction at an early age through a family friend. While in high school, he continued his exposure to the construction field by starting a small construction company that he maintained throughout college.
In 1988 after graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Science, Geoff joined a Birmingham-based international civil and site work firm. The company was in the early stages of forming a commercial building group. During this time, the group grew to be a major regional commercial contractor. This early experience, gained in a high growth atmosphere, accelerated development of Geoff’s technical expertise and management skill in growing construction firms.
In 1992 Geoff was called on to begin a new venture that would grow rapidly to a regional commercial contractor producing revenues of $150 million in 1997. As a founding employee of this company, Geoff was promoted to the executive committee while performing the role of senior project manager. Geoff procured and completed over $75 million in construction revenue. While integrally involved in the growth and operation of these firms, Geoff consistently built the most effective construction teams the company had to offer.
Geoff founded Golden & Associates Construction, LLC in 1997. He is a life long resident of the Birmingham area.

Gregory E. Pyburn, Vice President
Greg graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. While in school he worked for an electrical contractor, where he was introduced to commercial construction. Greg has a life long appreciation for architecture and design and how materials are constructed together to form meaningful structures used every day.
After college, Greg began his career as a project engineer for a large, commercial construction company. He worked his way into a project management role, and from 1991 to 1996, Greg assumed a primary role in the coordination and direction of expansion efforts for one of Birmingham’s top retailers that included five states, 12 new department stores and over $86 million in fast track construction.
In 1997, Greg was promoted to senior project manager to lead a team in the construction of a 250,000 SF Class A build-to-suit office building in Atlanta that included base building and tenant improvements totaling over $22 million.
After eleven years with two of Alabama’s largest construction companies, Greg joined Golden & Associates in 1999 as vice president. He is a life long resident of the Birmingham area.

Brad Condray, General Superintendent
Brad has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a second generation construction professional, and began his career working on job sites during the summer while in high school.
Brad graduated from the Auburn University Building Science program with a 4.0 grade point average. After graduating, he went to work for a commercial contractor as a project engineer and worked his way up to superintendent.
Brad joined Golden & Associates in 2002 as a superintendent. Almost immediately upon joining the company, Brad developed and implemented our Quality Control Program for our construction job sites.
In 2005, Brad was promoted to general superintendent. He has worked to streamline communication channels between the field and the office and increase information technology in the field. He has also developed our Apprentice Training Program, a program that gives field employees an opportunity to learn new crafts and advance within the company.
